My Portfolio

Here are some examples of the kind of work I have done.  It’s the adult equivalent of drawings taped to my parent’s refrigerator.

800 Octane

I was given the opportunity to redesign my favorite local band’s website.  They wanted a site that corresponded with the artwork from their newly released album and also reflected the personality of the band.  After redesigning the site, we decided to add functionality that had been desired for a long time, but never pursued.  In the end, I was able to provided both the comprehensive redesign and new functionality.

Consignment Northwest

pandemonium media site

I developed this site for a consignment furniture store in Beaverton, OR.  They came to me with a color scheme and several informational pamphlets.  I designed this site, highlighting their wide variety of furniture through numerous photos throughout the site.  I also adapted their handouts, incorporating the same information, but keeping the information readable on the web as well.  Go ahead and take a look around their site, and stop in if you’re looking for furniture.

Stephanie Ridenour Photography

I developed this site for a photographer just starting to develop a web presence and to promote her photography business.  She wanted something simple and classic, that would highlight her photographs, particularly those of babies.  She provided some great photos, and I chose a minimal design that put her product on center stage.

Caseworks PDX

An acquaintance of mine told me he was starting a business building road cases for musicians. He wanted a website that communicated his brand in a simple, classic fashion. Once I designed the page, we began discussing options for the functionality of his website. After discussing what he wanted, it became clear that I could not deliver the completely custom online case builder he wanted, so I recommended he go to someone who could build what he wanted.

West Coast Cycle (alternate design)

An alternate design for the e-commerce site designed to sell motorcycle accessories. We both liked this design quite a bit, but it didn’t quite fit with the image he wanted to project, so we went with the fire design.

West Coast Cycle

An e-commerce site designed to sell motorcycle accessories. The client wanted a site on which he could begin selling his products direct to his customers. He came to me with an idea: something with metal and flames. I designed the site, and then created the e-commerce engine on which it runs. I created a dynamic site that allows him to have complete control over his inventory, as well as a shopping cart for customers. The site is integrated with Paypal to handle the transactions, and his inventory is automatically updated as items are purchased.

Smockville Montessori

A Montessori pre-school and kindergarten located in Sherwood, Oregon, wanted a web presence to promote their school as well as provide information to parents who have children attending the school. Set up as a basic informational page, the site uses a basic color scheme combined with fun pictures to communicate the atmosphere of the school.
